Lights Out tells the story of Patrick "Light " Leary, a shooting champion heavy weights rundown. Light Boxing left under pressure from his wife but obsessed with his last fight, in which he lost the championship by a bad decision on his coach who is also his father. Light try to live in a glory that vanished years ago to support a family with 3 daughters and wife medical student but when the bills start to tighten will seriously consider leaving retirement.
admit I saw the pilot Lights Out eager that I liked but the truth is that the pulse beat. The boxing world gives a lot of play. It is a cruel sport where the glory is usually shooting, where even a champion of champions like Ali ends his days forgotten and crushed. Boxing is often ultimately lead to that great subgenre: the movie (in this case series) of losers. Not to have the stories of old lions, melancholy of what once were, struggling to survive, but always manage to captivate .
The pilot tells us that Lights Out has twigs for success. Good staging, convincing performances and especially a history of losing something not yet widely exploited in the key of drama in the world seriƩfilo (a memory comes to me just another wonder, Breaking Bad ). As long line Million Dollar Baby , Raging Bull or The Wrestler, Lights Out have in me an unconditional follower
